First Aid Kit
This first aid kit should contain the following:
1). Gauze, vetwrap and Teflon bandage material, to wrap lacerations
2). Rubbing alcohol for cooling
3). Stick or tongue depressor's for splints
4). Pliers or wirecutters to remove a snare or wire that they can get caught up
in
5). Peroxide to clean any cuts. Peroxide is also excellent to induce vomiting
(1-3 tbsp orally).
6). Saline for eye wash
7). Rope for muzzle
8). Benadryl given for swelling ie: bee stings. 25mg for 25lbs dog/50mg for
50lb dog.
9). Antiseptic polysporin ointment
